"By choosing to adopt, you are saving a life whilst blessing your own."
Did you know that over 5000, healthy pets are euthanised each week in Australia alone, through no fault of their own, abandoned by the ones they love? This is a heartbreaking fact that cannot be ignored or taken lightly. Whilst many overcrowded pounds and shelters are forced to “dispose” of these abandoned souls, some not-for-profit pet rescue organisations, tirelessly and unselfishly save these souls from their untimely fate by rescuing and re-homing them with loving families. Unfortunately, due to lack of funds and resources, many pre-loved pets perish before they can be saved or even acknowledged.
I started my pet portrait journey because I wanted to help these wonderful organisations re-home their long time residents by giving away a pet portrait to the person whom adopted that pet. It felt good knowing that in my very small way, I was contributing something that could make a difference to one animal’s life.
Today, I continue to support No Kill shelters and rescue groups by donating custom pet portraits for raffles and auctions to help raise much needed funds for their ongoing work. The more help these organisations receive, the more lives they can save and rehome.
My heart aches for the abandoned and abused pets everywhere, and am trying to make a difference by also donating proceeds from each pet portrait towards these amazing pet rescue organisations and shelters, whom are saving lives every day. These groups and shelters are doing amazing work and are the only organisations that I choose to support.
A portion of the proceeds from each custom pet portrait, will be donated to a not-for-profit pet rescue organisation or pet shelter of your choice.
By ordering a pet portrait, you will also make a difference in the lives of abandoned, abused and homeless pets as a portion of each pet portrait commissioned will be donated to a non-profit Pet Rescue Organisation or Pet Shelter of your choice.
All you need to do is nominate the pet rescue group or shelter when you place your order either using the Pet Portrait Order Form or by simply contacting me with your requirements. If you are uncertain of whom to donate your contribution to, simply let me know and I will donate the funds to the shelter or group that I feel needs it the most at that time. Many times, funds are needed by various groups and organisations for an urgent and specific purpose like rescuing a mother and her litter or for urgent veterinary care for an abused or injured animal.
There are many non-profit organisations in need of financial help and support, and every little bit helps, so I encourage you to donate, volunteer, foster or adopt so that more of these precious lives can be saved.
